Thomasina Perkins-Washington Thomasina Perkins-Washington CEO/Principal of Capitol Public Relations, LLC (CPR), a
Tuck School of Business, MBE (Minority Business Enterprise), As a Publicist to professional athletes such as NFL players Clinton Portis, Fred Smoot, Joshua Morgan and XFL player Rashad Ross; as well as high profile Artists/Entertainers to include Hip Hop Mogul Russell Simmons; Designers, Authors, Television and Radio networks, production companies and heads of corporations both for profit and nonprofit entities; she uses her sense of “to whom much is given; much is required” to foster attitudes of community service in these “celebrity” and “executive level” clients and is able to create value added situations Globally.
Ms. Perkins-Washington has dedicated a good portion of her talents over the years to assisting music artists and their management teams create campaign strategies as it relates to project releases from singles to full albums. She is involved in artist development and sustainability for both established artists such as CeCe Peniston, Lil’ Mo and Traci Braxton as well as those entering the music arena such as Tre’ Burwell, she has aligned herself with like-minded music professionals to ensure artists are empowered and educated. She is a non-traditional Publicist in that she offers a full complement of development services. Thomasina has entered into the world of film and television first contributing to local news segments both tv and radio also appearing on her client’s family WEtv Reality Show “Braxton Family Values”; later blending her talents into several production roles; working on feature films for OCTET Productions distributed as BET Original Films (“Angrily Ever After” and “‘Twas the Chaos Before Christmas” released in 2019 the later nominated for a 2020 NAACP Image Award) and mild contributions for Contender campaign of an Oscar Nomination with the Award winning film “In the Life of Music”. In her role as VP of Public Relations, for Black Global Entertainment (BGE), she is working with a team of professionals developing content for film, television and streaming platforms. Thomasina has been a periodic contributor to DC Life Magazine and Just Right Magazine, appearing on the Cover of the August 2018 issue. She is an active member of several organizations and associations to include: Association for Women in Sports Media (AWSM), Alliance for Women in Media (National Capital Area Chapter), an Official NFLPA (National Football League Players Association) Marketing Representative, Hip Hop Sisters, NABFEME (National Association of Black Female Executives in Music & Entertainment), The Recording Academy (DC Grammy Chapter) and Entertain DC’s 202 Creates Fall Resident 2019 and Founding member of the Gathering Spot DC. She is a mother of 2 and NiNi (Grandmother of 4).
